Stormin' Norman Bio

Norman Larcom is a musical artist with a stunning scope
and diversity; in contrast to most of todays only too 'genre conscious' performances, he
is equally conversant with country, folk, blues, bluegrass, r&b, rock, et al-. Born
December 23, 1935, Norm showed an early interest in music, learning to sing &
accompany himself on the guitar at an early age. Eventually picking up mandolin, dobro;
5-string banjo and some barrel house piano along the way. A 'Folk' artist in the truest
sense, he never performed much "professionally", being more along the lines of a
'parlor picker', for the delight of friends & family. Sadly, nerve damage resulting
from years of diabetes, robbed Norm of the ability to play an instrument. Thus, he is
accompanied on these recordings by his son Wesley (Big Wes) who, displays a wonderful
sensitivity to Norm's musical style and nuance.
